Finally finished my wand for the movie tonight (yes I made a wand for the final Harry Potter). Turned out really well! I took some artistic liscence and used a somewhat Japanese styling for the wand using the colors blue and silver representing wind and water (not wanting to sound pagan, just trying to make it look old and magical) then I put a cross at the bottom to put a Christian spin on the whole wizarding concept. Turned out quite nicely! Overall took about 5-7 hours and cost $20. Now I’m ready for the movie at midnight tonight!

This is possibly the coolest thing in minecraft I have ever seen! And its got some epic music in the background too!

Personal Blog

So I’m thinking about what to do with this blog. I’m not sure what I want to do right now, I always liked the idea of the casual blog and I already have an anonymous blog that I use for more controversial and just long posts in general. I don’t know if I need a second blog or not, I’m already a member of Twitter, Facebook, and Google+ and I’m not sure this would be very necessary or even if I would remember it exists in a week. O well, we’ll see how it evolves over time. I’ll start posting for now.

E3 2011 First Impressions

I will add more games and video links to this list as I find them.

I was really impressed by what Microsoft is doing with Kinect and what Nintendo is doing with Wii U. I’m still a Sony guy at heart, but man if I’m not starting to feel left out! PSN being out and Move not taking off while seeing all the cool things Microsoft is doing with the Xbox really kills me (on the inside). But in the end, its all about the games, and PS3 exclusives keep me tied in. However, I might get a Kinect and start using the Xbox as my console of choice and keep the PS3 for exclusives only. Either way, I will certainly be buying Mass Effect 3, Skyrim, Minecraft, and either Battlefield 3 or MW3 for the Xbox 360.
